Laura & Georgia Barge are a mother and daughter team coming to Corbin June 8th.. Laura has been a professional musician for over 30 years. After getting her degree from Berklee College of Music in the late 1980’s she started her career as the featured vocalist for LIME STREET CAFE in Springfield, IL. She joined her first touring band, BLACK AND BLUE from Greensboro, NC, in the early 1990’s and fell in love with the road. She has a list of great bands that became part of her music family… AFTER HOURS from Cordele, Ga; A.B.S. from Springfield, MO; LEGACY from Ozark, MO; CRUZIN’ from Alton, IL; and X-FACTOR based out of the St. Louis area. She now in Liberty MO where she privately teaches, performs and part of the music ministry at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Georgia started performing solo in 3rd Grade with the young musicians group STARS OF TOMORROW. At the age of 12 she wrote a song for her Grandmother that won her national recognition. She is currently active with music and musicals at Liberty North High School. Georgia has sung the National Anthem at many events in KC including the Children’s Mercy Sporting KC and the Missouri State Fair. She is the piano/ vocalist in her youth praise band POTTER’S CLAY and performs regularly in the band DESTINATION.
