Laura Warren Barge has been a professional musician for over 30 years. She invaded Boston (MA) after getting a traditional Vocal/ Piano Degree at Benedictine University, then SCI, at Springfield (IL). In 1989, with her added Vocal Performance Degree from Berklee College of Music,
she launched her career as the featured vocalist for LIME STREET CAFE in Springfield, IL. She joined her first touring band, BLACK AND BLUE from Greensboro, NC, in the early 1990’s and fell in love with the road while playing along side some old great groups like The Platters and The Tams. She has a list of great bands that have become part of her music family… AFTER HOURS from Cordele, Ga; A.B.S. from Springfield, MO; LEGACY from Ozark, MO; CRUZIN’ from Alton, IL; and X-FACTOR based in the St. Louis, MO area. A fun fact about Laura is that she is on the cover (photo taken in her youth) of the 2012 best seller book “Hollywood Portraits” by Lou Szoke. She now resides in KC, MO with her husband Roger and her two children, Warren & Georgia. Laura privately teaches and performs in the metro area as well as a part of the music ministry at St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
