It’s 1942, and two of Hollywood’s biggest divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel — assistants, luggage, and legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything seems to be in order for their wartime performance…that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 30s and 40s.

Meet our Director…
Erin Ivanov is a teaching artist, performer, and director who graduated from Missouri State University in 2004 with a BA in Theatre and Communication and an emphasis in Children’s Theatre. She was involved in the theatre from a very young age performing in church plays and then plays and musicals in high school and college. In college, she was the leader for a traveling drama ministry group and was also a part of a children’s storytelling troupe. Her biggest theatre passions are in directing and teaching. She has directed one-acts in both high school and college, a musical for Robidoux Resident Theatre in St Joseph, and she directed her first show for the Corbin, “Let Nothing You Dismay” in December. She has years of experience teaching theatre classes and directing intensive musical camps for Robidoux Resident Theatre, CYT Kansas City, and ACT1KC. She is currently an English teacher for Maple Park Middle in North KC and a teaching artist for The Coterie Theatre. She is beyond excited to continue this journey with Corbin Theatre and hopes to inspire performers to explore their creative sides and to imagine the unthinkable!
